Hands Across The Border 2019 “Ruby Serendipity” 4 – 25 May

Hands Across the Border 2019

Dame Mary Peters will officially launch The Northern Ireland Patchwork Guild in association with The Irish Patchwork Society’s, bi-annual exhibition ‘Hands Across the Border’ on Saturday 4th May at 15:00 in Flowerfield Arts Centre -all welcome!

The Northern Ireland Patchwork Guild (established 1979) and the Irish Patchwork Society (established 1981) joined forces for their first joint exhibition in 1991 and ‘Hands Across the Border’ exhibition has continued every two years since. This year the theme is ‘Ruby Serendipity’ which celebrates the 40th anniversary of The N.I. Patchwork Guild

The two organisations meet monthly in their respective locations, and consist of a diverse group of members, with a common interest in fabric, traditional/modern patchwork and quilting. The patchworks exhibited will reflect a wide range of interpretations, including various colours, techniques, fibres and fabric.

The subject is Ruby Serendipity, in keeping with our Ruby Celebrations.
