Ethleda Ellis ‘Princess Aurora’

Inspiration was one of my favourite Ballets: Sleeping Beauty by Tchaikovsky. I tried to show the Northern Lights with her cape. Cotton, silk and organza was raw-edge appliqued and thread sketching was used for further detail. All quilting and applique are free motion quilted by machine.
