Hello everyone.
Hoping those of you who couldn’t make our first meeting in September will be able to join us on 5th October, again in the Scout Hall, Crawfordsburn – a lovely big, bright space.
[Information about the venue can be found here}.
Our Guest Speaker will be Lena Pugachova. Lena is also taking the Workshop in October on Saturday afternoon, which is totally full. If, for any reason you are not going to be able to attend the Workshop, please let us know.

If you are attending the Workshop, please ensure you read the requirements list carefully.
As we are in the Scout Hall, we won’t have access to our equipment, therefore, if possible bring an iron and ironing board or wool mat. Extension leads willl also be necessary.
The November workshop will be a chance to learn about adding piping to your quilt, with our member Yvonne McKee.

February 8th & 9th Saturday Afternoon & All Day Sunday all day – making and assembling blocks for Q4CL. [Quilts for Care Leavers]. This will be a voluntary time with no charge.
March 8th Workshop will be taken by our own member, Sandra Streeter.
If interested please sign up at the Workshop table, including putting your name down if volunteering.
Information on the Quilt Fayre competition will be emailed separately.
Hands Across the Border will also be in 2025 and organised by IPS Irish Patchwork Society. To date I only know the theme is “One World” and the size is 24″ square.
Membership remains at £25. It is really helpful if you could sign up and pay online.
Afternoon workshops £15 plus any tutor kits if applicable.
Monthly ballot is £1 per ticket, money raised goes to the charity, which this year is Myeloma UK.
I’ll be selling Christmas cards again in December for our charity.
Finally, remember your mug and come early, 10am, for a catch-up on 5th October to The Scout Hall, Crawfordsburn Country Park.
