Hello everyone,
We have had two memorable meetings to date, and it’s hard to believe the November one is almost here. Just a gentle reminder to renew your membership, if you haven;t already done so. You can renew online. https://northernirelandpatchworkguild.com/membership/
We will be back in the PAROCHIAL HALL at CULTRA 10am for 1030am start,on 2nd November. [Note for new members, there is no fee to enter the museum, just tell them you are attending the Quilting Group in the Parochial Hall].
Our speaker is member Yvonne McKee with “My Quilting Life” ,and she’s also taking the Afternoon Workshop on Piped Binding. You’ll find thiia an interesting way to finish a table runner, wall hanging or quilt.
Some spaces are still available and the requirements list has been put on the members hub.
November is also our CHARITY TABLE month for our charity MYELOMA UK.
Please help us raise some money for this by donating any sewing related items.
Any items donated should have a price on them and if unsold please collect at the end of the meeting.
We have been asked would anyone be willing to help repair an old quilt – if willing please speak to me at the meeting.
The beautiful bag put together by Lynda McCleery from squares made by guild members, has now been given to Debbie Baillie our past President, by Mary,Crickard and a lovely thank you has been received. See below for photos.
So folks, I’m sure you’ve all started your Christmas challenge landscape, seascape, A4 or smaller using any medium as long as there are some stitches!
Looking forward to seeing these in December.
- Library books can be returned this month
- Remember items for the CHARITY table
- Remember your mug
- Bring cash for the Charity Table
- Maybe a warm coat and quilt for warmth
See you on 2nd November.
Esmé
