Greetings to all members

I hope you are enjoying this spell of sunny dry weather – long may it last. I’m sending this

email to everyone in case you could not be with us in person at our scheduled May

meeting.

North West Quilt Fayre

This fair is taking place on 8 th and 9 th May 2026. The organisers offered us a donation

towards a coach to the venue. A coach for the day is priced at £550. Thirteen members

have indicated an interest in going by coach but that would be quite expensive for these

small numbers. The Committee decided to support Margaret Lee and Yvonne McAtmney,

the organisers, and the stall holders by encouraging members to attend the Fayre. The

plan is:

• Guild members who travel by train to The Northwest could take a taxi from the

station to The Everglades Hotel.

• Get a receipt for the taxi journey and the Guild will refund your taxi fare.

• Bring your receipts to the next meeting and Treasuer, Marjorie, will handle the

return of your taxi fares.

• Show your NIPG Membership Card at the entrance and you will get into the Fayre

free of charge.

Bring your Travel Card, Guild Membership Card and cash for the taxi.

Book your taxi.

There are trains from Grand Central Station at 9:10 and 10:10 etc. The return train times

are 15:38 and 16:38 etc. The journey time is 2 hours 12 minutes. We hope that there will

be a good turn out to The Everglades. Check these times to be sure.

Try to meet up for lunch, cup of tea or coffee and exchange news of the ‘wee gems’ of

stalls.
