The theme “Aurora” struck a cord with me as I can remember seeing wonderful Northern Lights on one cold winter’s night in the middle of nowhere with all white snow around. I wanted to merge the colours as well as possible as I used chiffon, organza and netting over the cotton fabrics in this Bargello quilt. Machine pieced and quilted. In Finnish Aurora Borealis is “Revontulet” which translated to Fox Fires in English.
