Gillian Barr ‘Catching the light’

My inspiration is the colours of the Northern Lights. I have used silk and cotton. Shot silk catches the light beautifully depending on the time of day. Machine and hand stitched. Kantta Quilting on silk adds to the texture and again changes the colours of the silk as it catches the light.
