Margaret McCrory ‘Aurora – Goddess of the dawn’

While looking through my fabrics for inspiration I found this stunning tie-dyed fabric by Ricky Tims. Really it was a no brainer for the theme “Aurora”, the Roman Goddess of Dawn. I didn’t like any of the ancient images which portrayed her, so I took a photograph of this contemporary sculpture and adapted it to use as a more modern Aurora. I like the feeling of movement in the figure.
