“Aurora” or “Dawn” reminds me of a book in children’s fiction by Beverly Cleary, in which the 1st grader Ramona Quimby, on hearing the American National Anthem, believes that it begins with, ”Oh say can you see by the donzerly light”, which she interprets as a kind of lamp. Later in the book she proceeds to show off her new vocabulary by asking her sister to turn on the donzer much to her family’s amusement and her embarrassment.
My quilt is a not too difficult arrangement of simple triangle shapes in bright colours (such as a child might choose) liberally sprinkled with sparkles and sequins loved by young children. Machine pieced from mostly cottons, hand beaded, with raw edge applique in the side borders.
